Richard Boutall (Owner )

Richard grew up in England on his father's farm of chickens, crops, beef, sheep, and pigs.  His father also operated a butcher shop in town. When the farm was sold it made Richard more determined to farm himself. After studying at Harper Adams Agricultural College, he went to Northern Ireland to train as a shepherd on a 2,000 acre hill farm in Glenariff. After that, he trained and worked at numerous farms around England to gain as much practical experience as he could.

He worked on grain farms, as a herdsman for a dairy, as an assistant farm manager on a 2,500 acre mixed dairy farm, and worked as a self-employed contractor, milking cows and running machinery, as well as rearing some of his own calves as a side income. Finally, he took his own farm in Devon where he had a beef herd, sheep, and some pigs that he ran for a few years before moving to Manitoba, Canada.

Richard lived in Canada for over 10 years and grew crops, raised beef, and ran a dairy before moving to Kentucky. When he isn't busy farming, Richard enjoys fishing, boating, cooking and reading.

Tina Boutall (Owner)

Tina is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio but has lived in Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.  She spent the two previous winters in Canada.  She holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting and technical management from DeVry University - Chicago Campus.

She worked for a private label supermarket cooperative for five years in member development before becoming Comptroller for 1800flowers.com (DBC Fulfillment LLC) servicing Chicago North. In 2006, she relocated to Kentucky and held managerial positions for Meijer Stores and Wal-Mart specializing in perishables, dry grocery, dairy, and deli/bakery.

In 2009, she became a Food Safety and Sanitation trainer for Wal-Mart University, participated in several store renovations, and on-site training of super center staff.  In 2011, she transferred to Wilmington, Ohio to manage grocery and perishable operations there meanwhile remaining available to help sister stores in the region as needs arose.

Tina married Richard in 2011.  Being celiac, Tina has always been a champion for organically grown and sustainable food. She hopes her years of perishable experience will prove useful at Brookhill Farm.  In her spare time, Tina enjoys sewing, crochet, gardening, ancestry, and writing in the Christian genre.

Jimmy Jones (Farm Foreman)

Jimmy worked at Brookhill Farm for four years before we took over and we decided to keep him!  His knowledge of the farm has been invaluable to us as new owners.

Jimmy grew up on his father's dairy farm near Eminence in Henry County, Kentucky. He has worked in a variety of jobs but is particularly skilled in construction coupled with a good agricultural background making him a great asset to our enterprise.  In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys hunting and fishing.  (And, his wife makes some of the best deer jerky in the world!)
